About Shawn Casey
I have been where you are.
And I came out the other side.
There are parts of this story I was too ashamed to tell for most of my life. I am sharing all of it now — because shame loses its power when it is brought into the light. And because the most powerful thing I can offer you is not a credential. It is the truth that I have lived this and found a way through.
February 1989.
I had been up all weekend alone in my office in West Hollywood, binging on cocaine. As the sun came up I looked in the mirror and barely recognized the man looking back.
I was 24 years old. I had built something I was proud of. And I was destroying it.
I fell to my knees that morning and asked my God-self to show me how to live. I did not know how to live without my addictions — and I could not keep living with them.
That was my rock bottom. But it was not the night I fell that changed everything — it was the night I knelt. That was the beginning of my spiritual awakening, and of my inner healing journey.
My brother Jesse.
When I found my footing I brought Jesse out to Los Angeles. I gave him a job, a room in my house, and everything I had learned about healing. Within ninety days he was back on the streets.
Years later, Jesse died from his addiction. He was 38 years old. Found in a public bathroom with a needle in his arm.
Jesse never got to discover his gift. That loss is one of the deepest reasons I do this work. His story did not have to end that way. And neither does anyone else’s.
It was never about willpower.
I kept losing that battle not because I was weak — but because I was fighting the wrong battle. Addiction was never the disease. It was the coping mechanism. Beneath it was unhealed childhood trauma, shame, and a subconscious belief that I was not worthy of a good life.
What changed everything was the decision to go within. To take 100 percent responsibility. To connect with my God-self. And to build daily disciplines that slowly rewired the way I thought and felt about myself.
It is the practice of remembering who you were before the pain rewrote you.
That is what the healing journey to loving yourself actually is. Not a moment. A daily practice.
The result of doing this work is substantial.
Today I have a thriving business, a life I am genuinely grateful for, and 37 years of continuous work on myself. I have walked alongside thousands of people across nearly four decades — from executives to people who came with nothing but the willingness to try one more time.
I am living proof that healing is possible. And everything I have learned, I now use to empower you to find what was always yours.
"My deepest desire is that my story will inspire you to begin your own healing journey to loving yourself and living your truth. You were not born to survive. You were born to come home to your true self. Healing is possible. And you are never alone in this."
