The Inner Healing Journey 8 Weeks • Online • Small Group • Starting October 21, 2026
Eight weeks of doing the real inner work — together. Awareness. Trauma. Reprogramming the mind. Reconnecting to your authentic self. Healing shame. Building daily disciplines. Discovering your purpose.
You are the Gift.
Whatever you walked through — alcohol, drugs, food, sex, gambling, shopping, codependency, work — it is the same root underneath. The same shame. The same trauma. And the same gift waiting on the other side.
The Gift of Addiction is an 8-week inner healing journey for people in recovery, from any addiction, who are ready to do the work and become their authentic self.
First Program begins October 21, 2026 — registration now open.
This is for you if...
You found your way through. You did the work. You are stable.
The crisis is behind you. The hardest part is past. But underneath the gratitude, something is still asking.
Was this all of it? Is this what I survived for?
You are not looking for therapy. You are not looking for another recovery program. You are looking for the work that helps you become the person your journey has been preparing you to be.
If that's you — whatever your addiction has been — keep reading.
The Question Recovery Doesn't Answer...
Recovery teaches you how to stay alive. How to put down the thing that was killing you. How to rebuild trust with yourself and the people you love. How to live one day at a time.
It does not, by design, answer the next question.
What is this life for?
Most people in long-term recovery hit a strange and disorienting season somewhere between year two and year ten. They are stable. The crisis is past. And underneath the gratitude, something else starts to surface:
A quiet hunger. A sense that surviving was never supposed to be the destination. A growing certainty that what you walked through must mean something — and a frustration that no one is teaching you how to find what.
The Gift of Addiction is the answer to that question.
The Premise...
The substance is never the addiction. The behavior is never the addiction. The shame and the trauma underneath are the addiction — and they are universal.
That is why this program works regardless of what your particular addiction was. Alcohol, drugs, food, sex, gambling, shopping, codependency, work, technology — the surface is different, the root is the same. And the gift forged in you by walking through it is the same.
People who have walked through addiction and come out the other side carry capacities that most of the world cannot access. A particular kind of presence. A bone-deep understanding of human suffering. The capacity to sit with what others flinch from. A relationship with truth that was forged in fire. A range of feeling. A specific dialect of compassion. Permission to be in rooms that other people cannot enter.
These are not metaphors. They are real, specific, hard-won capacities. And most people in recovery hide them — because they came from a story they are still ashamed of.
This program is an eight-week inner healing journey to loving yourself and living your truth - naming the wound that disconnected you and discovering your true self.
The Truth Underneath
There is a solution within you. It has always been there.
Call it your soul. Call it consciousness. Call it God, the divine, infinite mind. Call it the energy we are — alive in you, in me, in all of us. There is no separation.
It is your guidance. It is your gift. It is you
What Becomes Possible
As you overcome, heal, and reprogram, you will come home to your authentic self.
The one with the purpose. The one with the love. The one with the freedom. The one with the joy. The one with the prosperity. The one with the connection.
The one you have been reaching for all along — even when you did not have words for what you were reaching toward.
The 8-week Program
The work takes you through one continuous program. Each week builds on the one before.
What You Receive
Eight weekly group calls. 90 minutes each, Wednesdays at 5:00pm PT / 8:00pm ET. Cohort capped at 10 to keep the container intimate.
The Gift of Addiction Workbook. A custom-designed journal that walks you through the eight weeks. Mailed to your door before the program begins.
Three private 1:1 sessions with Shawn. A 90-minute Welcome & Story Session before the program begins, a 60-minute Mid-Program Recalibration in week 4, and a 60-minute Integration Session in week 9.
A direct voice-and-text channel. For moments between calls when you need a witness, not a problem-solver.
The Founders Circle, lifetime access. A private community of the people who walked the first eight weeks with you. Anniversary calls at the six-month and twelve-month marks.
Lifetime access to all future iterations of the program. Whenever the program runs again, you can return. Free.
A "Co-Creator" recognition. Your feedback shapes the program. You are named, with permission, as a founding member of the work.
The Guide... Shawn Casey
I'm Shawn — author, recovery practitioner, and the person who walked this road and refused to believe that staying alive was the whole point of being alive.
I built this program because I needed it.
I spent years in recovery being grateful, being humble, and being quietly unsatisfied. Something kept saying: if you survived this for a reason, the reason was not just to keep surviving. I went looking for the program that would help me find what came next. I didn't find one. So I built one.
This is the work I now do with people who are where I was — stable, recovered, and ready for what is underneath the gratitude.
The Investment
The Founder Investment is the first time this program is being run. As a founder, you receive everything above for $1,997.
Future investment will be $3,997.
The reason for the founder pricing is simple: you are walking the work with me as I refine it. Your honest feedback shapes what this becomes. Your willingness to be among the first is what makes everything that follows possible.
Payment options:
- Pay in full (save $200): $1,997
- Three monthly payments: $732 / month
The Guarantee
Two protections, both real:
The Trust Window. Through the end of week 2, if the work is not the right fit, you receive a full refund. No questions, no friction.
The Completion Promise. If you show up to every call, complete the weekly practices, and do the work — and you don't experience meaningful movement toward purpose — you can return to the next full cohort free, or receive a full refund. Your choice.
This is bold but safe to offer because people who do the work get results. The work itself is what filters for fit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Plan for about 4–6 hours weekly. The 90-minute live call, two to three hours of workbook writing and reflection, and time to integrate. The work is real — but the volume is intentional. Less than this, and the depth doesn't take. More than this, and life can't hold it.
No. This program is for people in recovery from any addiction — substance or behavioral. Alcohol, drugs, food, sex, gambling, shopping, codependency, work, technology, love. The surface is different. The shame and trauma underneath are the same. And the gift forged in you by walking through it is the same. If you have done your recovery work and you are stable, you belong in this room regardless of what your addiction was.
Show up live when you can. If you can't, watch the recording within 48 hours. The container holds as long as you keep returning. Missing more than two calls without communication means we need a 1:1 conversation about whether this season is the right one for you.
Yes. This is not a 12-step program, but it does not contradict 12-step work. Many participants will be working a program elsewhere. The work here is complementary, not competitive.
No. The work is honest. Some people find their language for it in spirituality; some find it in psychology; some in art or service. The program does not require any particular framework — only the willingness to look honestly at your own life.
Never. You can say no to any prompt, any exercise, any share. The space holds your no.
Talk to me. We'll figure out together whether continuing serves you. The work of this program assumes you are stable in recovery; if that changes, our priority becomes you, not the program.
Sure, as long as both you and your partner or friend are comfortable together in the program.
October 21 – December 16, 2026. Registrations close October 14. Ten seats. One investment.
